PhD students
Short overview of the academic career:
- PhD student at NAVI since November 2019
- FWO fellow since October 2019
An ever-increasing fraction of the population reaches an age when, even in the absence of illness, physical limitations affect the quality of life. Since human aging is malleable and many of the hallmarks of aging are observed in an exaggerated form in age-related diseases, achieving more insight into the mechanisms of aging might unveil new avenues leading to healthy aging.
The objective of my PhD research is to further investigate the therapeutic potential of system xc- inhibition in age-related neurological disorders.
